At the foothill of Mt. Kinabalu, lies this beautiful valley called Kundasang, with an average altitude of 5,000 to 6,000 feet, is one of the highest small town in Malaysia. Kundasang is famous for its temperate vegetation, one gets to view many of these farm lands along the main road. Kundasang also boasts one of the highest Golf course in the world, rounds are mostly play in the morning because by the afternoon the clouds would have cover up most of the course. There is also this Kundasang War Memorial next to the shoplots that attracts many visitors every year. Not far one can also find busy market trading in vegetables and flowers.

Mount Kinabalu Heritage Resort and Spa is built on top of a hill just next to the Kundasang township. The resort is under the Perkasa Hotel Holdings Sdn Bhd. The resort also has one of the best view of Mt. Kinabalu and the surrounding valley. With the addition of the new chalets and the refurnished main building of the resort done last year, Mount Kinabalu Heritage Resort and Spa can easily be considered the finest resort around the Kundasang area.

Walk across this bright orange eye catching suspension bridge and walk right into the orchid gardens, deck and the chalets, one would feel at home with nature. The new chalets have been operating since the later part of 2007, there are a total of 12 rooms available and they are very popular with the guests. More rooms will be added in the future. Each chalet comes with its own veranda and bath room, and there are rooms with double beds and single queen beds, available.

Kundasang Valley

The Heritage Spa is located at the 6th and 7th floor of the main resort. This is the only resort that offers spa services in the Kundasang area. Aromatherapy massage, body scrub, foot reflexology, herbal bath, soothing massage, steam and sauna facilities provided by Mount Kinabalu Heritage Resort and Spa. This would be a great treat after climbing Mt. Kinabalu, to relax and rejuvenate the body.

With the refurnishing done last year. the resort has a brand new look. The Topion cafe is a new addition, and there is also a convenient shop beside the reception counter. A karaoke room is available for the pleasure and entertainment of the guests. Wifi connection is available here too.

There dinning area is big enough to hold functions like wedding, meetings, and official functions. There is also a big conference room on the 8th floor.

    The smiley is a widget from WordPress. March and April would be 2 great months for pictures taking of Mt. Kinabalu.The weather then is less cloudy.

    i’ve been there couple a months ago with my friends and its was fantastic !!! view was awesome!!! im going there again this 28may … a quick excape from work

    chalets we amazing ! flat screen etc .. shower.. but the best part is woke up at 6am when the fog clears u would see the view of the mountain right in front of youre door … oh.. dude . you guys should give it a try…

    if ure looking for place to relax and chill enjoying the view that is the place! πŸ™‚

    by the way i travelled from brunei to kk sabah just to enjoy the place.. – worth it!!!

    First time i when to perkasa @ mt. kinabalu
    heritage it was very beautiful place and the
    accomodation was good. I fall in love with that
    place.. My pleasure to come back once again.
    I do hope that the service (smile, greeting &
    friendlyness ) and the food will be
    upgarde from time to time to make that place
    more better. But so far i’ve create my sweet
    memories with my fiance and enjoyable momment.
    I’ll be back soon.

    Anybody stayed in Mount Kinabalu Heritage Resort & Spa recently? I still see some bad comments on the cleanliness on the main building.. Would love to have feedback if you have stayed there recently. Are the Chalets good? a lot of mosquitoes/?
