At the foothill of Mt. Kinabalu, lies this beautiful valley called Kundasang, with an average altitude of 5,000 to 6,000 feet, is one of the highest small town in Malaysia. Kundasang is famous for its temperate vegetation, one gets to view many of these farm lands along the main road. Kundasang also boasts one of the highest Golf course in the world, rounds are mostly play in the morning because by the afternoon the clouds would have cover up most of the course. There is also this Kundasang War Memorial next to the shoplots that attracts many visitors every year. Not far one can also find busy market trading in vegetables and flowers.

Walk across this bright orange eye catching suspension bridge and walk right into the orchid gardens, deck and the chalets, one would feel at home with nature. The new chalets have been operating since the later part of 2007, there are a total of 12 rooms available and they are very popular with the guests. More rooms will be added in the future. Each chalet comes with its own veranda and bath room, and there are rooms with double beds and single queen beds, available.

Kundasang Valley

The Heritage Spa is located at the 6th and 7th floor of the main resort. This is the only resort that offers spa services in the Kundasang area. Aromatherapy massage, body scrub, foot reflexology, herbal bath, soothing massage, steam and sauna facilities provided by Mount Kinabalu Heritage Resort and Spa. This would be a great treat after climbing Mt. Kinabalu, to relax and rejuvenate the body.

With the refurnishing done last year. the resort has a brand new look. The Topion cafe is a new addition, and there is also a convenient shop beside the reception counter. A karaoke room is available for the pleasure and entertainment of the guests. Wifi connection is available here too.

Sandwich between forested hills and sandy beach, lies this beautiful Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort. This resort is located at the door front of Pantai Dalit Beach, which is some 30 minutes drive from Kota Kinabalu City.
