The Waterfront Kota Kinabalu
Posted by beautifulkk on January 10, 2008
Every day around the late afternoon the Waterfront begins to come alive, as workers come to set up their premises and the chefs start to prepare their special Ala carte. By evening the whole place will be bustling with people looking for a great dinning experience from the many restaurants at the Waterfront.
Western, Chinese, and local cuisines are all featured here, and the place is very popular with the tourists as the food quality here is ensured. Other than fine dining the Waterfront is also a great place for socialising and party, there are pubs, cafes, karaokes and The Bed, one of the biggest dance clubs in town.

Come and enjoy the cool sea breeze and witness the beautiful sunset at The Waterfront Kota Kinabalu. And also enjoy the island-view before darkness envelops the earth. The Waterfront is located at the centre of Kota Kinabalu City, only about 10 minutes walk from any hotels or backpacker hostels in the town. It is only a short drive from the near by resorts.
One of the finest seafood restaurants in Kota Kinabalu, Port View Seafood Village has 30 chefs and their assistants to cook up the ultimate ocean flavours. Seafood lovers have plenty to choose from the cascading rows of aquariums, where clams, crabs, fish, lobsters, and prawns are kept alive. Fresh sea specialties is the name of the game at Port View Seafood Village. Butter Prawn, Deep fried Soft Shell Crabs and Steamed Garoupa are just some of the well known dishes here.
Oregano Cafe serves a variety of local delicacies, and it also boasts of a wine bar that stocks plenty of selected wines.
Toscani’s and Atlantis Bistro serve western cuisines, beers and wines.
A nice place to have a foot massage and enjoy the sunset on the horizon.
Harbour Cafe has mostly local delicacies on its menu. Laksa, fried noodle, and curry are some of the specilities here.
What Irish Bar would it be, if Guinness is not being served.
The Aussie Barbeque and Bar, which serves mostly western food, is operated by a company called Pirates of Borneo, which is run by an Australian couple. They also operate another restaurant called Mat Salleh Restaurant at the Jesselton Point.
Truly the Waterfront Kota Kinabalu is a nice place to dine, unwind and drink away….
